The winter challenge in the Sölden ski area
In the Sölden Challenge, 18 exciting competitions will be held throughout the entire Sölden ski area. Skiing skills are just as important as posing, endurance and a spirit of discovery. Depending on the number of badges collected, you can win instant prizes or participate in a prize draw for great prizes!
Step 1: Register for the challenge
Prerequisites for participation are initial registration with skiline and registration for the Sölden Challenge. In addition, the ski pass number must be entered to make an allocation possible. Existing skiline users only need to register for the ski pass they are using and sign up for the Sölden Challenge.
Step 2: Master the challenges
At the starting point of the individual challenges, information boards explain the exact procedure. Badges are awarded for each challenge mastered, and after 6 badges, you will receive an email with a QR code to redeem the instant prize immediately. If you collect 10 or more badges, you are automatically entered into the prize draw.
Step 3: View progress
Here, you can check how many challenges you have already successfully completed and how many badges you have collected so far.

6 Photopoints
Smile! There are 6 photo points throughout the ski area that you have to visit to get a snapshot at each location.
This is how it works:
- Stand in front of the camera and hold the ski pass to the sensor
- Pose and show your best smile
- • View and download the snapshot for free at SOELDEN.COM/WINTERCHALLENGE and share it with friends.
Explore Challenges
These challenges test your stamina! Along the way, you collect breathtaking impressions and, above all, altitude meters. You explore the entire ski area on the way to the individual badges.
The descents:
Racing Challenges
Two challenging routes await you in this challenge: The “speed course” and the giant slalom course.
This is how it works:
- The camera and timing start after the ski pass has been scanned, and the starting gates open.
- The race can later be viewed, downloaded and shared with friends free of charge at soelden.com/winterchallenge
Fun Challenges
This year, the Funslope and Funcross course on the Giggijoch are part of the Sölden Winter Challenge. On the Funcross course, you even have the opportunity to compete against your friends simultaneously.
This is how it works:
- You can set off as soon as your ski pass has been scanned and the start barrier opens.
Special Challenge
Loyalty is rewarded with the exclusive “Frequenter-Badge”
This is how it works:- Anyone who spends 15 or more skiing days (first entries) in a winter season at the Sölden ski resort will receive the exclusive badge
What is there to win?
With 6 collected badges
- Instant prize in the form of a Sölden Buff (to be picked up at the Info Point of the Gaislachkoglbahn upon presentation of the QR code received)
from 10 collected badges
- Participation in the prize draw for ski passes at the end of the season
from 15 collected badges
- Participation in the prize draw for vacation stays incl., ski pass at the end of the season
